Mole Prevention Tips How to Keep Moles Away

This specie can be really difficult to get rid of because it is difficult to identify and diagnose the root of its existence in your area. You have to be smart enough to spot a mole since it could be really tricky and hectic task for you to start with it. They might be there for a reason which is getting you rid of insects and worms, but what they do in the background is destroy your gardens. To prevent them from entering in the lawn or garden entirely, below are a few tips for your ease.

Use of Underground Fences

This task might take a lot of your time and you will have to spend a good amount of cents to get this done but what costs more usually pays back in a good way. These fences are considered to be most effective & long term in your efforts to prevent moles from entering. Your fence has to be 2 feet below the ground and the moles won’t be able to dig that deeper to go beneath it. Make it 6 inches high above ground level & they should be galvanized material.

Dig a Pit & Add Gravel

Another effective way to prevent moles is to dig a pit around your area and put gravel inside it. Their claws cannot get the better of the gravel as it is hard enough material.

Bad Odors of Garlic Lillies

Moles get irritated with odors that are bad for them such as Garlic lilies & chocolate lilies. If you plant a few of them, they will be good enough to keep moles away with the odor.

Use of Chemical repellents

Applying and spreading castor oil-based mole repellent (easily available in the market) can help you with mole infestation.
